Ipswich Town are now interested in signing an “absolutely insane” midfielder, who is ready to leave his club in the summer transfer window, according to a report.
Ipswich's summer transfer plans taking shape
Unforutnately, it is now looking increasingly likely that Ipswich will be unable to avoid relegation in their first season back in the Premier League, with 17th-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers opening up a nine-point gap near the bottom of the table.
As such, Kieran McKenna may be tasked with building a squad capable of mounting another Championship promotion push next season, and Peterborough United forward Kwame Poku could be of interest, having enjoyed an impressive campaign with the Posh.
McKenna may have to bring in players capable of pitching in with goals, amid major doubts over striker Liam Delap’s future, who has been linked with a whole host of Premier League clubs, while Jaden Philogene may also have to be sold.

Besiktas are lining up a move for Philogene, who was brought in from Aston Villa for £20m during the January transfer window, although the winger’s arrival has done little to alleviate relegation fears.
Ipswich may have to brace for a couple of key departures this summer, but their own transfer plans are also now taking shape, with a report from Caught Offside revealing they are interested in signing Liverpool midfielder Wataru Endo.
Liverpool's WataruEndocomes on as a substitute to replace Ryan Gravenberch
Endo has fallen down the pecking order at Anfield, meaning he is now ready to move on this summer, and the Reds could be more open to bids than they have been in the past.
AC Milan, Celtic, Fulham and Wolves are also interested in the midfielder, so there could be stiff competition for his signature, with Arne Slot’s side willing to consider offers of around €15m -€20m (£13m – £17m).
"Insane" Endo could be excellent addition for Ipswich
Ipswich’s hopes of avoiding the drop appear to be fading, which may make it difficult to attract quality players this summer, but if they are able to tempt the Japan international into a move, there are signs he could be an excellent signing.
While the Yokohama-born midfielder has mostly been utilised as a utility player for Liverpool, he has performed very well on some key metrics for midfielders over the past year.

Jurgen Klopp was the man who brought the central midfielder to England, and he was left very impressed by some of his performances for the Reds, saying: “I’m not sure people think that’s spectacular or whatever, but the forward passes he played tonight were absolutely incredible.
“And how often he broke lines with one touch, that was absolutely insane.”
This season, the former Stuttgart man has played a very sporadic role, so it is clear to see why he is looking to leave this summer, but Ipswich may find it difficult to win the race, amid rival interest from the likes of AC Milan and Celtic.

The move will see the former Inter coach manage the Saudi-based outfit until June 2027. According to a report by journalist Fabrizio Romano, the deal was done by agents Federico Pastorello, Tommaso Inzaghi and Luca Bascherini.

Inzaghi was reportedly Saudi-bound even before his side's humiliation in the Champions League final, with media suggesting he was in talks over a lucrative deal. Inter lost the final 5-0 to Paris Saint-Germain in a heart-breaking end to the season as the Nerazzurri missed out on a treble of trophies. It is his second loss in a Champions League final, having gone through the same in 2023 as they lost to Manchester City. Following that defeat, the manager resigned from his role and chose Al-Hilal as his new challenge.
WHAT INZAGHI SAID
After completing the formalities, Inzaghi said: “My desire had always been to be able to go and coach abroad as well as in Italy and for me Al-Hilal is a great opportunity in my career. Al-Hilal is a club I know because I follow Arab football. We have been to play here in Saudi Arabia with both Lazio and Inter, so it is a championship that made me follow them, and I have always followed Al-Hilal with big sympathy because they have Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, whom I have coached before at Lazio, and I am happy to have found him at the club.”

The seeds for Sri Lanka’s victory were sown by their batters, Kusal Mendis, Sadeera Samarawickrama and Charith Asalanka
Mohammad Isam04-Mar-2024 It all came down to the last over in Sylhet. Chasing 207, Bangladesh needed 12, with the rampaging Jaker Ali at the non-striker’s end, but Dasun Shanaka nailed his lines and lengths to help Sri Lanka snatch a three-run win in the first T20I in Sylhet.By the time Jaker got on strike, Bangladesh needed ten from four balls. But Shanaka held his nerve to go full on off; Jaker looked to get under the ball but it took the bottom of the bat and stand-in captain Charith Asalanka, at long-off, judged a low catch to his left to perfection.Still, it was not done, as Bangladesh’s No. 10 Shoriful Islam slammed his first ball over extra cover, and took a leg-bye off the penultimate ball. That left Taskin Ahmed needing to hit a four to tie and six to win, but he could manage neither. The Sri Lanka fielders started celebrating as soon as Taskin toe-ended another wide, full ball from Shanaka, managing just a single. But the seeds for this win were sown much earlier, by Sri Lanka’s batters. They reached 206 for 3 despite missing Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Perera and their regular captain Wanindu Hasaranga, who is serving his suspension for an outburst against the umpires. In their absence, Kusal Mendis and Sadeera Samarawickrama struck brisk fifties and Asalanka teed off at the death to produce the most impactful knock of the night. He struck six sixes in his unbeaten 44 off 21 balls.
Bangladesh meek after Shoriful strikes first blow
The talk of putting past rivalries behind them lasted all of two balls. After Shoriful had Avishka Fernando caught behind, he mimicked Angelo Mathews’ celebration from the two sides’ World Cup match last year; after Shakib and Bangladesh had stirred controversy by appealing – successfully – to have Mathews timed out, Mathews had pointed to his wrist in turn after snagging Shakib in the chase.A familiar rap on the wrist? Shoriful Islam celebrates snagging Avishka Fernando second ball of the game•AFP/Getty Images
Taskin then removed Kamindu Mendis in the fifth over but he had already set the ball rolling with two sixes in his 14-ball 19. Kusal Mendis, who was quiet in the powerplay, properly got going in the 12th over when he struck Rishad Hossain for two consecutive sixes in an 18-run over. The second of those sixes got him to a 28-ball half-century.
Asalanka puts on a fiery show
Asalanka led that assault, belting six sixes. He struck Taskin over wide long-on before pasting him over deep square leg in the 17th over. He sliced Mustafizur Rahman over deep third, before hammering a similar shot off Shoriful for a six over cover-point. He struck a wayward Mustafizur for two sixes in the last over too, powerfully over point, and the last one over deep square leg again. Asalanka and Samarawickrama added 73 runs for the unbroken fourth-wicket stand in the last 5.2 overs.
Mathews exposes Bangladesh top order
Mathews got Sri Lanka two of their first three breakthroughs as the visitors dominated Bangladesh in the powerplay. Litton played an ill-advised shot – shuffling way outside off stump and then trying to flick to leg – to be caught behind in the first over. Soumya Sarkar skied Binura Fernando in the fourth over after making 12, before Mathews had Towhid Hridoy caught behind for 8. The in-form Hridoy had struck a superb six off his first ball but lasted only four balls more.Playing his first T20I since September 2022, Mahmudullah struck 54 off 31•Bangladesh Cricket Board
Mahmudullah leads recovery
Mahmudullah also started his innings with a six but unlike Hridoy, he kept up the pressure on the Sri Lanka bowlers. He cracked Mathews over extra cover first ball before slamming Dasun Shanaka in the seventh over to bring up Bangladesh’s fifty. Mahmudullah lost captain Najmul Hossain Shanto along the way, but found newcomer Jaker willing to rotate the strike. After Samarawickrama dropped Mahmudullah on 27, the veteran struck Matheesha Pathirana to the second tier of the eastern gallery. It turned out to be an 11-ball over from Pathirana who bowled big wides and a couple of no-balls. It went for 20 runs as Jaker struck his first six of the night too.
Jaker takes over from Mahmudullah
Avishka Fernando took a good catch at the long-on boundary to end Mahmudullah’s innings on 54 off 31 balls. That looked like the end of Bangladesh’s chase but Jaker chose this moment to hit a higher gear.In the same over as the wicket, he struck Maheesh Theekshana for a six over square leg before hammering Shanaka for two sixes to the leg side in the next over. He hit two more sixes in the next two overs, off Theekshana and Pathirana. The latter’s was another 11-ball over, which went for 19, as he struggled substantially with cramp. This over was so wayward wicketkeeper Kusal was even seen standing almost at second slip to receive the ball, as Pathirana attempted to send down wide yorkers.Jaker reached his maiden T20I fifty off 25 balls with a blast through the covers to end Pathirana’s over. Mahedi Hasan timed two fours off Binura Fernando, both through wide third in the 18th over, but he fell trying to hoick the same bowler. The sixth-wicket pair had added 65 runs in 4.3 overs but Mahedi left with Bangladesh still needing 27 off the last 2.1.
Jaker takes it deep, and almost finishes it off
Pathirana continued to be wayward in his last over, the penultimate of the innings. He conceded 15 runs including three fours, and bowled another no-ball. Jaker struck him through midwicket, fine leg and extra cover to leave Bangladesh needing 12 off the last over. It seemed then they might pull off an amazing heist, but it was not to be.
Liverpool are ready to accept an offer for a £150,000-a-week player who could leave Anfield this summer with Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Alexander-Arnold set to sign for Real Madrid
It looks set to be an active few months for the Reds in the transfer market, despite Arne Slot’s side being on course to win the Premier League.
Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher wants to see up to six players brought in ahead of the 2025/26 season, with a replacement for Alexander-Arnold on the to-do list.
Sky Sports: Arne Slot holds talks to sign £40m+ "monster" for Liverpool
He’s a top priority for the Dutchman.
ByCharlie Smith Mar 25, 2025
“I’m excited to see where Arne Slot will take Liverpool because it looks like they’re going to win the league, but there are still so many areas to improve. He needs a centre-back as back-up to the two that we have, he’ll need a right-back with Trent Alexander-Arnold likely to leave.
“I think he needs a centre midfielder to replace Endo, someone younger and that he trusts, a centre-forward to play and a left-winger. There are at least five or six players he needs to get in – three to go straight in the team and three to be strong back-ups.”
The English full-back has been heavily linked with a move to the Bernabeu, with reports claiming a transfer is 99% done after terms were agreed.
Expert Fabrizio Romano has said that all parties are confident a deal will be done after Alexander-Arnold’s Anfield deal expires in the summer.
Jeremie Frimpong has been earmarked as a replacement for Alexander-Arnold and reports have claimed that Slot has held talks with Frimpong’s reps over a move to Liverpool.
However, Alexander-Arnold may not be the only player to depart the club. Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah are also out of contract at the end of the campaign, whereas Federico Chiesa has also been linked with a Liverpool exit.
Liverpool ready to loan out Chiesa as Lazio make contact
As per reports in Italy, relayed by Sport Witness, Liverpool are ready to send Chiesa out on loan for the 2025/26 season and are willing to include an option to buy of €15m.
Federico Chiesa in action for Liverpool
This comes after Lazio made initial contact over a transfer, though Chiesa’s salary of £150,000-a-week appears to be too expensive for the Serie A side. Indeed, his wages are even high at Anfield, taking home more than regular starters Luis Diaz and Ibrahima Konate combined.
It does look as if the Reds are ready to move the Italian on over the coming months, with the 27-year-old not exactly starring at Anfield after joining last summer.

He’s struggled with injuries and has scored just twice, with Chiesa’s latest goal coming in the EFL Cup final defeat to Newcastle United at Wembley. Under contract until 2028, Liverpool appear to be willing to send the attacker out on a temporary basis, making this one to watch.
da betobet: Everton were a day late and a dollar short once again at Anfield, though most of a Toffees persuasion will have spilled out Liverpool’s turnstiles with a sense of grievance and perhaps frustration that parity wasn’t restored.
da spicy bet: Diogo Jota’s neat footwork preceded a tidy finish to wrong-foot Jordan Pickford and send Liverpool deeper into their seat at the summit of the Premier League.
For Everton, their Anfield purgatory continues. David Moyes’ pre-match comments bespoke a chasmic gap between the neighbours: “We might be further away from Liverpool than we ever have been at the moment.”
However, the two contests over the past two months have shed some new light on Everton’s startlingly sharp development with the Scotsman at the helm once again.
Liverpool EvertonPlayer ratings courtesy of Sofascore.
This is a new Everton team revived and confident and hungry for new levels of success. Much has changed in short time, but the derby itself hasn’t, insofar as hackles were raised and jaws were bared from both sides of the sphere.
A fiery Merseyside derby
Everton versus Liverpool hasn’t been without its fracas-laden moments over the years, and while Wednesday’s Anfield clash won’t fall into the most tempestuous of meetings in modern history, it wasn’t that far away.
Moyes, certainly, was left feeling aggrieved after one or two controversial moments. In particular, Jota’s goal carried a hint of contention that left the 61-year-old frustrated post-game, for Luis Diaz was in an offside position during the build-up. Albeit the Colombian didn’t touch the ball while walking back into legality, not seeking to interfere with play.
However, that wasn’t the only, or indeed more scrutinised, point of controversy on the evening. Beto had actually put Everton ahead in an impressive first half but saw his goal chalked off for a marginal offside, but the biggest issue came on the Toffees’ defensive side.
James Tarkowski’s first-half challenge on Alexis Mac Allister sent Anfield into a maddened frenzy. It was, colloquially, a ‘leg-breaker.’
However, Liverpool’s midfielder walked off fine and so too did Everton’s veteran defender, who accepted a booking for his reckless sliding clearance – which he technically won – after VAR official Paul Tierney failed to recognise the gravity of the incident. Even Moyes suggested the 32-year-old was “lucky” not to have received his marching orders.
Everton's new Gareth Barry
The Merseyside derby has often been a game of brinkmanship on both sides, but Tarkowski pushed his chances to the limits on the disciplinary front, with former Premier League referee Mike Dean branding the incident a “horrible challenge and 100% a red card.”
It’s the kind of combativeness, though, that harkens wistful thoughts of a former era, one many fans resonate with as being more real and nostalgic, for better or worse.
Standing in for the rarely-seen Seamus Coleman as Everton captain, Tarkowski evoked the spirit of that era, evoked the spirit of Gareth Barry, combining leadership with, frankly, a whole lot of yellows.
He may have been the Blues’ hero in the reverse fixture at Goodison Park, but – the VAR drama aside – he suffered a few shaky moments. Namely, it was his half-cleared swipe that sparked Jota’s goal.
Chalkboard
Football FanCast’s Chalkboard series presents a tactical discussion from around the global game.
Although given that the £100k-per-week Tarkowski incredibly made 12 clearances in total, as per Sofascore, it’s understandable that at least one might not travel the length of the field.
The acting skipper also won six duels, blocked three shots and made three interceptions, highlighting his gritty, no-nonsense nature.
For the most part, he leads by example, indeed showing that he has become a “really strong leader,” recognised as such nearly three years ago by former boss Frank Lampard.
Barry used to be that man for the Merseysiders. The all-time leading appearance maker in the Premier League – having played 653 games – the 44-year-old featured 153 times for the Toffees, scoring five goals and placing 11 assists across a four-year period, instrumental in driving Everton through the halcyon, pre-Moshiri days.
Of course, the retired England international was strong in the challenge himself, facing card-brandishing referees on more than a few occasions throughout his long Premier League career.

Barry, who captained the Three Lions at one point, was an understated midfielder, a man of industry and intelligence as he controlled games plum in the centre of the pitch.
His defensive quality and positional understanding were virtues that could also be attributed to Tarkowski at Everton right now, the centre-back upholding Sean Dyche and now Moyes’ values and adding an almost foundational element to the team, which allows others to flourish.
Former Everton midfielder Gareth Barry.
Barry – who now plays in England’s 12th tier with village club Hurstpierpoint F.C., four years on from retirement – was once hailed as “one of England’s best players ever” by his one-time gaffer Roberto Martinez, so industrious and an expert at the rudiments of football.
Tarkowski might not boast the same degree of wider acclaim, but he’s certainly made his mark at Goodison Park since leaving Burnley on a free transfer in 2022, playing in every single Premier League fixture since moving to Merseyside.
Thankfully, that record won’t be snapped by a VAR intervention. Regardless of the Englishman’s over-zealous challenge, his tough, protective approach has borne dividends for Everton over the past few years, and he’s not done yet.

The Grammy award-winning artist has served as an ideal reference point for those tasked with putting on soccer's flagship tournament
There’s a complicated list of factors that go into staging a major event. It starts with the venue. Can it seat enough people? Then there’s the security. How can you get them in and out safely? And then it’s the actual, physical event itself. How do you ensure that everyone has a good time? you do that?
The good news for those United States charged with organizing the 2026 World Cup, there are familiar touchpoints – other events held at the same venues. For soccer, you’d figure that natural reference points include the 2024 Copa America, major USMNT games, or even summer friendlies.
And to an extent that’s true.
“You have to learn from every event, every major event, whether it's Copa or the you know, these big touring, touring shows, I think understanding fan behavior, understanding movement patterns and how people travel,” Pam Kramer, CEO of Kansas City’s 2026 World Cup host committee, told GOAL.
But the U.S. looks to host the first men’s World Cup in the country since 1994 – as they’re planning for the crowds, the transit, the parking, the influx of people and even the noise – it turns out that Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour most accurately resembles what hosting a global tournament event might look like.
“If you’re looking at something like the Eras Tour, that’s one of the sports entertainment events that people are traveling for,” Alex Lasry, CEO of New York/New Jersey’s World Cup committee, told GOAL.
Getty Images
'The most comparable thing'
It is well documented what a global phenomenon the 14-time Grammy Award winning artist’s tour was: 21 countries, 51 cities, 149 dates spanning 21 months – with three albums released in between. You probably know multiple Swifties who attended shows, or would have seen it on social media, or heard it referenced in the day-to-day.
It was the highest-grossing tour of all time, bringing in $2B, and with good reason. This was 3.5 hours of song after song, hit after hit. In terms of attendance – each show averaged nearly 70,000 fans – and perhaps even global impact, it was as big as soccer, even if it’s hard for many fans of the beautiful game to admit.
“It is probably the most comparable thing to the World Cup,” Lasry admitted.

'You are the only city'
But while there might be an ideological clash in that notion – devout football fans will defend the game to the end – there is a real backing to it. There are 11 U.S. cities – and five more in Canada and Mexico – hosting the World Cup, with 48 teams participating. More than 6.5 million fans are expected to attend, according to FIFA.
How can you prepare for something so massive? Most sports events in the United States are regional. The Super Bowl stadiums are flooded with corporate ticket holders and fans from the local area, more than those of the competing teams. It’s a relatively well-mannered event that happens to have a concert at half time. There are few stories of fan hysteria.
The College Football playoff is another reference point. But that, too, has its imperfections. Pockets of the country are invested – you’d imagine that last year’s National Championship game between Notre Dame and Ohio State in Atlanta had a significant midwest following, without overwhelming national attendance.
“You are the only city running that event at that time of year,… so we learn from that event, we do after actions to say what went well, what didn’t go well, and how we can improve,” Georgia O'Donoghue, CEO of Atlanta’s 2026 host committee, said.
Getty Images Sport
'Always try to learn from those'
The United States doesn’t have any matches of global scale in its yearly soccer calendar (with all due respect to the MLS and NWSL finals). This summer’s Club World Cup – running simultaneously with the CONCACAF Gold Cup – will certainly provide data points, as a test run of sorts.
But given their frequency and ubiquitous presence at venues across the country, concerts are a natural reference point for World Cup organizers – especially since tours such as Swift’s often include fans traveling internationally to attend.
“Concert businesses have had challenges at times. We as an organization always try to learn from those and incorporate them into our exercises,” Adam Fullerton, VP of stadium operations at Mercedes-Benz Arena in Atlanta, said.
Getty Images
'The same way that we anticipate the World Cup guests are going to come'
Part of the challenge in planning for the 2026 World Cup has been unfamiliarity. Soccer fans interact with the sport in different ways in every single country. Dutch fans engage in a “march to the match.” Argentinians will have a pre-game asado. English fans really, really, really love pubs.
And rarely, if ever, have so many descended en masse into one area. Preparing for anything and everything is vital. The Eras Tour, for some host committees, offered an idea of what the logistics involved in a truly global event might look like – even in terms of physical movements of attendees to a given venue.
“We get good experience from a lot of the events we have, where it's a third party event, where a lot of people fly into town,” Fullerton said. “Take a Taylor Swift show. That group of people stay in the downtown corridor, and they come to the stadium in the same way that we anticipate the World Cup guests are going to come.”
It’s not just about individual behavior. The tour attracted fans from all over the globe into major cities. It became a destination, an excuse to spend time in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta – massive metropolitan areas in the United States.
Remind you of anything else?
“Taylor Swift, you're getting international travelers, people from all over the country, all coming to see her show,” Lasry said. “New people coming to a market who might not be familiar with the city or the region.”
Ipswich Town appear to have their eyes on an “exciting” EFL star who “scores and creates goals”, according to one Sky Sports pundit.
Ipswich Town transfer rumours with McKenna’s side in relegation zone
The Tractor Boys’ return to the Premier League looks like it may only last one season, with Kieran McKenna’s side nine points adrift of safety with nine games remaining.
A defeat at Portman Road last time out was coupled with Wolves’ win at Southampton and has left Ipswich with plenty of work to do in the final months of the season.

Should Ipswich suffer relegation, there could be a number of exits, including star striker Liam Delap, with several top-flight giants eyeing a move for the impressive forward, including Man Utd and Chelsea.
Hearts striker and captain Lawrence Shankland, who is out of contract at the end of the season, has seemingly been identified as a possible replacement for Delap at Portman Road.
Loanee Kalvin Phillips is also unlikely to make his move permanent, and his replacement could be 6ft 6 midfielder Kalidou Sidibe, who currently plies his trade with French side En Avant Guingamp.
Towards the end of 2024, Ipswich were also linked with Peterborough United star Kwame Poku, alongside Southampton, Championship side Burnley and Scottish giants Rangers.
Ipswich Town told they can sign “exciting” EFL star if relegated
Now, talking to Football League World, Sky Sports co-commentator and pundit Don Goodman has labelled Ipswich target Poku as an “exciting” potential signing in the Championship, appearing to urge the Tractor Boys to make a move if they’re relegated.
“Well, Peterborough have finally found their mojo, haven’t they? They’ve just put a seven-game unbeaten run together, far and away their best run of the season. It took way too long.
“Kwame Poku, 10 goals and six assists this season from just 20 games, 19 starts, is very impressive. It’s on the back of 11 goals and seven assists last season.
“He’s been on my radar for a couple of seasons now, along with Ephron Mason-Clarke, who is now doing really, really well at Coventry.
“If you’re Burnley, Southampton or Ipswich, it’s obviously going to depend on which players stay and which players leave. That’s assuming Southampton and Ipswich will be in the Championship, Burnley will hope to be in the Premier League.
“So whether he’s ready for the Premier League just yet is a debate to be had, but certainly if I was a Championship club and I needed an exciting, ball-carrying winger that both scores and creates goals, he would be on my radar.”

A veteran for Vidarbha, he is the only Indian batter to have scored fifty or more in his lone ODI appearance
ESPNcricinfo staff19-Feb-2024Faiz Fazal, who scored a half-century in his only appearance for India, has announced his retirement from professional cricket at the end of Vidarbha’s Ranji Trophy match against Haryana. He retires as the leading run-getter of Vidarbha in first class as well as List-A cricket, and is the only one with over 100 red-ball games for them.”Tomorrow marks the end of an era as I step onto the Nagpur ground for the last time, where my journey in first-class cricket began 21 incredible years ago,” Fazal wrote in an Instagram post on Sunday. “It’s been an unforgettable ride, filled with cherished memories that I’ll hold dear forever.””Representing both the Indian Cricket Team and Vidarbha has been the greatest honor of my life, and donning those cricket jerseys has always filled me with immense pride. Farewell to my beloved Number 24 jersey – you’ll be deeply missed,” he wrote.”As one chapter closes, another awaits, and while bidding adieu to my professional cricket career fills me with mixed emotions, I’m eagerly looking forward to embracing the new adventures that lie ahead.”The 38-year-old opener played 137 first-class matches, 113 List A games and made 66 T20 appearances. He led Vidarbha in 53 first-class games, 36 times in List-A matches and in 27 T20 matches. He made his international debut in an ODI against Zimbabwe, scoring an unbeaten 55 as India registered a 10-wicket win. It would remain his only appearance in the national colours.
Fazal, at the time, became the first Indian in 16 years to make his debut in his thirties. He is also the only Indian to have scored fifty or more in his only ODI appearance. Overall, he became the third player to have this distinction, after Australia’s Ashley Woodcock and England’s Kim Barnett. England’s Ben Foakes and South Africa’s Zubayr Hamza also scored half-centuries in their only ODI appearances, but they are active players and can still add more caps in the format.Having made 151 on debut in 2003, Fazal registered low scores of 1 and 0 in his final appearance for Vidarbha to finish with 9184 runs in first-class cricket, with 24 centuries and 39 fifties. He also gathered 3641 List A runs at an average of 35.Earlier this Ranji Trophy season, Saurabh Tiwary announced his retirement, while Varun Aaron called it quits in red-ball cricket.
