According to Calciomercato, Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic harbours a desire to move on from the Italian giants, and if Arsenal bid for him, he would 'immediately pack his bags'. If the Gunners want to sign the Serbian international, the 25-year-old could cost €50 million (£42m) but there's a chance he could leave for less than that as his contract expires in 2026.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

The report adds that Arsenal's main striker target ahead of next season is Sporting star Gyokeres but Manchester United, the Gunners, and Paris Saint-Germain are also keeping tabs on Vlahovic – who is no closer to signing a new deal at Juve.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Vlahovic has scored 15 goals and notched five assists in 40 games for Juventus this season in all competitions. Of those matches, 30 of them have been in the starting XI.

    WHAT NEXT?

Vlahovic may play his last game for Juventus this weekend as they round off a disappointing Serie A season away at Venezia. However, the Serb could yet play in their Club World Cup campaign next month.

Inter Miami player ratings vs. Montreal: Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez explode for four goals as Herons finally snap out of slump

Messi scored two, Suarez added a double of his own, and Inter Miami returned to winning ways against lowly Montreal

Lionel Messi bagged a brace and Luis Suarez was also at the double as Inter Miami rolled past a poor Montreal side to break a poor spell in MLS play with a 4-2 win Wednesday night. The Argentine was instrumental throughout, while his old Barcelona teammate found some life as well, leading the Herons to three vital points.

Messi, as expected, opened the game up after a sluggish start. It was a classic Messi goal, a quick exchange with Sergio Busquets followed by angled curled finish from the top of the box. It was an otherwise languid first half, Messi popping up here and there without creating much.

Then, the second half exploded. It started with a double save from Oscar Ustari, who twice denied close-range efforts with insinctive stops. Miami took advantage immediately, going straight down with a well constructed counter attack. Messi provided the key moment again, dinking a ball into the box that Suarez – afforded far too much space – controlled and finished. He added another three minutes later, reacting first to a loose ball and stroking into the bottom corner.

Montreal gave themselves a glimmer of hope after 73rd minute, Dante Sealy ghosting inside and tucking the ball into the bottom corner. But Messi had the final word, combining with Suarez and dinking over a stranded goalkeeper to wrap up a win.

A late Montreal goal only made the scoreline appear narrower. The result, though, was remarkably comfortable.

GOAL rates Inter Miami's players from Chase Stadium.

Goalkeeper & Defense

Oscar Ustari (6/10):

Made an impressive double save before conceding a couple of goals he really couldn't do anything about.

Ian Fray (6/10):

A solid shift on the right. Got up and down without ever really providing the killer ball.

Gonzalo Lujan (N/A):

Seemed to pick up a groin issue after 12 minutes.

Noah Allen (6/10):

Tidy at the back until he was absolutely skinned in the run up to Montreal's goal. He looks more and more comfortable with each game.

Jordi Alba (N/A):

Went off injured early on. Miami will hope it's not serious.

AdvertisementGettyMidfield

Tadeo Allende (5/10):

Ran around a lot and looked to connect, but completed just 61 percent of his passes.

Sergio Busquets (8/10):

Class throughout. Assisted the first goal and was instrumental in a couple more. Tackled well and fouled at the right times, too.

Federico Redondo (6/10):

Ate up ground in the Yannick Bright role. Ensured that there wasn't much of a drop off in the engine room.

Telasco Segovia (7/10):

A more measured evening from last weekend's hero, who offered plenty of control – and linked up with Messi well.

GettyAttack

Lionel Messi (9/10):

Scored a typically outrageous goal. Did all sorts of nice things, and then assisted Suarez wonderfully. Capped off his evening with a delightful dink.

Luis Suarez (8/10):

Pretty sloppy in the first half, and then deadly in the second. Scored two instinctive goals, and then set up another. Quality.

GettySubs & Manager

Tomas Alives (5/10):

Came on and then went off injured. Miami are struggling at center-back.

Hector Martinez (6/10):

Did his job without being revolutionary. Might be asked to play more going forward.

Maxi Falcon (6/10):

A mixed second half. Solid at times but also completely lost his man on Montreal's second.

Benja Cremaschi (N/A):

Barely involved in 20 middling minutes.

Fafa Picault (N/A):

Late legs to stretch the game a bit.

Javier Mascherano (7/10):

Not a bad night's work, all said. Got his system right and relied on his star men for a convincing win. The seat cools down – for now.

Harleen Deol named concussion replacement for Sneh Rana

Rana collided with Vastrakar while fielding, but came on to bowl six more overs to finish her quota and was taken to hospital after complaining of headache

Srinidhi Ramanujam30-Dec-2023India allrounder Sneh Rana was taken for scans after “complaining of headache” post her collision with Pooja Vastrakar in the field during the second ODI against Australia at the Wankhede Stadium, the BCCI said. Former India captain Anjum Chopra, a commentator at the match, said Rana also complained of nausea.Rana will take no further part in the match. Harleen Deol has been named as her concussion replacement.”She [Rana] had a little bit of headache post the first innings,” India’s head coach Amol Muzumdar said after the match*. “We felt it was appropriate for her to do the scan. The reports have been fine and she is back in the dressing room. She is still having a little bit of a headache, but that’s normal. She is available for the third match.”Related

The incident happened in the 25th over of the first innings. In the process, Rana’s head banged into Vastrakar and both players fell onto the ground. Rana was taken off the field immediately, with the physio applying ice on her head, but returned after a couple of overs.Rana, who had bowled four overs at the time of the collision, went on to complete her quota of ten overs. She dismissed Ashleigh Gardner in the 37th over and finished with figures of 1 for 59.Rana was the Player of the Match for her seven wickets in the one-off Test played between the two teams last week. In the first ODI that India lost, she dismissed Australia opener Phoebe Litchfield.Deol, who bowls spin but is primarily a batter, was considered a like-for-like replacement for Rana, who is an offspinner primarily and a lower-order batter. Deol’s last ODI outing was against Bangladesh in Mirpur in July, when she scored 77 in a tied game and was named Player of the Match.

Man Utd now in talks to sign "creative" £55m gem who destroyed Dalot

da betway: Setting their sights on summer reinforcement, Manchester United have now reportedly opened talks to sign a talented young forward who’s valued as high as £55m.

Man Utd set sights on future star

da leao: The Red Devils were beginning to enjoy a slight turnaround on the pitch just before the international break, earning a point against Arsenal, before battling past Real Sociedad in the Europa League and thrashing Leicester City. The argument could even be made that it was their best week under Ruben Amorim, only for the international break to arrive at a frustrating time.

However, what the break has given those at Old Trafford a chance to do is turn their attention towards the summer transfer window. It simply must be a busy one for INEOS as they look to rebuild Amorim’s side in his vision and that has already seen several rumours come thick and fast.

The likes of Xavi Simons have particularly threatened to steal the headlines this week and whilst there’s little doubt that the Dutchman would be a perfect candidate to play in one of the two No.10 roles, the Red Devils may find it difficult to attract his signature without European football.

Man Utd thought they had their new Beckham, but Ten Hag sold him for £9m

Manchester United certainly made a mistake selling a player who could’ve been their next David Beckham.

ByEthan Lamb Mar 21, 2025

Instead, they’ve reportedly turned towards a rising star. According to GiveMeSport, Manchester United have now opened talks to sign Tyler Dibling from Southampton this summer, making their first approach for the 19-year-old star.

In a season to forget for the Saints, Dibling provided a rare bright spark before injury disrupted his break-out campaign. Now, even amid a frustrating spell on the sidelines, it looks as though he’ll get the chance to stay put in the Premier League courtesy of United.

Southampton's TylerDiblingin action with AFC Bournemouth's Dean Huijsen

Dibling’s signature won’t come cheap, however, given that Southampton were demanding as much as £55m for his signature in January. And even if relegation sees that valuation dip, potential suitors could still be left paying a hefty fee.

"Creative" Dibling destroyed Diogo Dalot

Of course, Manchester United are already well aware of Dibling’s talent – as is Diogo Dalot. The full-back found himself on the receiving end of the winger’s sharp dribbling to concede a penalty against Southampton earlier this season. Ultimately, it was a game that the Red Devils won after Cameron Archer missed the resulting penalty, but Dibling certainly left a lasting impression.

Described as the “definition of a creative winger” by football talent scout Jacek Kulig, Dibling is a talent who needs to be playing Premier League football and he’d get exactly that by swapping Southampton for Manchester United.

Joining one of England’s biggest clubs in doing so, the teenager could yet play a large part in awakening a sleeping giant.

After Kinnear: Everton & TFG now plotting another big raid on Leeds

da winzada777: With Angus Kinnear already on his way, The Friedkin Group are reportedly plotting a second raid on Leeds United which could see them welcome two more club chiefs at Everton.

Everton eyeing double swoop

da lvbet: Friedkin proved they mean business from the off, sacking Sean Dyche and quickly welcoming the return of David Moyes after over a decade away from Goodison Park before watching results improve ever since.

The Toffees’ 1-1 draw against West Ham United saw them take their recent run to six games without defeat in the Premier League, albeit having drawn five of those games.

The new owners have continued to restructure things away from the action after appointing Moyes too, and are reportedly set to make Kinnear their new sporting director after Leeds confirmed his departure.

Speaking to Leeds’ official website, club chairman Paraag Marathe said: “I want to thank Angus for his commitment and service for so many years, and for being a fantastic steward and leader of the club. As we move forward, I am confident that the incredible talent across our team will sustain our success.”

If reports are anything to go by, however, Everton are not done there. According to Alan Nixon on his Patreon, Kinnear could be joined by current colleagues Nicky Hammond and Gary Penrice from Elland Road in what would be their second raid of Leeds.

Worse than Beto: Moyes must now finally ditch 6/10 Everton man this summer

Everton dropped points against West Ham United this afternoon.

ByRoss Kilvington Mar 15, 2025

Both club chiefs could reportedly be handed key roles in Everton’s transfer department if they decide to join Kinnear in Merseyside this summer. Having played a part in rebuilding Daniel Farke’s side in pursuit of Premier League promotion, Hammond and Penrice could enjoy similarly successful recruitment for the Toffees.

It’s all change at Everton, who are stepping into a new era on all fronts before moving into their new Bramley-Moor Dock stadium.

Everton must get things right this summer

There’s been several false dawns at Everton, but as the end of the Goodison Park era comes to an emotional end, Friedkin will be desperately hoping that their ownership sparks the beginning of a turnaround once and for all.

Already, they’ve seen the benefits of one decision – hiring Moyes to revive Everton’s campaign and take the Toffees far closer to the Premier League’s top half. Now, the responsibility looks set to fall into the path of Kinnear and potentially his ex-Leeds chiefs, Hammond and Penrice.

They could be in for a busy first summer in Merseyside too, with rumours coming thick and fast. Already, names such as Tammy Abraham are threatening to steal the headlines, with a striker seemingly among the priorities at Everton this summer.

As Dominic Calvert-Lewin departs as a free agent, signing Abraham would certainly go a long way towards replacing the academy graduate and ensuring that Friedkin’s new transfer team get off to a solid start.

Whether the Toffees manage to lure the former Chelsea striker back to the Premier League in Kinnear, Hammond and Penrice’s first task remains to be seen, however.

Sunderland player on more money than Hume and Neil set to leave after talks

A first team Sunderland player on higher wages than the likes of Trai Hume and Dan Neil is in talks to leave the Stadium of Light.

Sunderland suffer automatic promotion blow with defeats to Hull and Leeds

The Black Cats have impressed on the whole during Regis Le Bris’ first season in charge of the club, and at the very least, look set for a place in the Championship playoffs.

Sunderland have been pushing for a top-two finish in the second tier, but back-to-back defeats to Leeds United and Hull City put a significant dent in those hopes.

Speaking before Friday’s clash with Sheffield Wednesday, Le Bris stated his squad are “really positive” and “very engaged” ahead of the run-in.

Sunderland manager RegisLeBris on the touchline

“The atmosphere after the Hull game was really positive – not that we enjoyed defeat, but we managed the situation properly. The three sessions this week have been intense. The output wasn’t always perfect, but the behaviour and commitment were very positive.

“The squad is very engaged in the process, and we know this league is always tough – we will have highs and lows, but the main thing is the consistency. We can’t be too emotional, positive or negative. If we want to play at the best level, we will face many obstacles.”

One player who hasn’t contributed to the Championship season is Jewison Bennette, who has played just nine senior minutes under Le Bris in an EFL Cup defeat to Preston North End back in August.

He has been linked with a move to Ukrainian side FC LNZ Cherkasy, with the transfer window closing on March 11th.

Jewison Bennette set to leave Sunderland with talks over exit underway

Talking in the last 48 hours, relayed by The Northern Echo, Le Bris admitted that Sunderland attacker Bennette is in talks to leave the club. He is currently on £5,000-a-week, more than Hume, Neil and Chris Rigg, but is set to depart in search of more game time.

“Yes [he is in talks to leave], but I don’t know exactly what stage the deal is at. He needs to play.”

The 20-year-old, who is a Costa Rica international, was praised by academy coach Graeme Murty last year after a Premier League International Cup game where the winger had two goals ruled out for offside.

“He’s great to work with. He’s never complaining. He’s always open to listen. He’s really disappointed that both goals were ruled off, because they could have been the critical moments in the game.

“We came out on the wrong side of them, but he had to keep going and he had to then restart himself, and actually get himself back into the game… Hats off to him because it’s not easy, but he can be really, really happy with his day’s work.”

It looks as if a move away for the winger will be one to watch for Bennette, and it’ll be interesting to see whether it is on loan or permanent, with his Stadium of Light contract expiring in 2026.

Rehan Ahmed’s tour of India has been cut short, with the England legspinner returning home for an urgent family matter. In a statement, the ECB also said Rehan will not be returning for the rest of the series, and neither will England seek a squad replacement.Rehan, the 19-year-old, featured in England’s first three Tests against India. He picked up 11 wickets at an average of 44, including a match-haul of 6 for 153 in Visakhapatnam. He was, however, left out of the England XI for the fourth Test beginning in Ranchi. It is understood Ben Stokes’ decision to omit Rehan was not related to him having to return home, which only emerged after the team had been announced at 1pm on Thursday. Rehan was present at England’s final training session that afternoon, helping out with various drills. He flies home on Friday, day one of the fourth Test.Earlier this month, England had to wait on Rehan’s availability for the third Test after learning of “paperwork discrepancies” with him on arrival from the UAE before the third Test. However, it was resolved, and Rehan picked up three wickets in England’s 434-run defeat in Rajkot. For the fourth Test, England are lining up with offspinner Shoaib Bashir replacing Rehan. The other spinner in the England XI is left-arm spinner Tom Hartley, their highest wicket-taker on the tour with 16.

The next McTominay: Amorim must unleash "superb" 18-year-old Man Utd star

Given the volume of spending over the last couple of years, cuts have been made behind the scenes and to the playing squad of Manchester United over recent months.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe has wasted no time in trimming costs to avoid any financial issues at Old Trafford, with numerous players leaving the North West throughout the campaign to generate funds and clear the wage bill.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka departed in a £15m deal to join West Ham United in the summer, ending his five-year stint with the Red Devils after joining from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2019.

However, his move has enabled the 27-year-old to recapture his best form away from the North West, notching two goals and two assists in the Premier League throughout 2024/25.

He’s not the only former United player to depart this season and impress away from the club, with huge regrets undoubtedly over a decision to allow him to depart given his rise to stardom elsewhere.

Scott McTominay’s stats for Napoli in 2024/25

Back in August last year, United decided to sell midfielder Scott McTominay to Italian side Napoli, leaving the side after seven years in the first-team and recruiting a £25m fee in the process.

The Scottish international made over 250 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring on 29 occasions, catching the eye with his box-crashing ability, often producing numerous key goals.

However, his move to Naples has allowed the 28-year-old to take his game to the next level, registering seven goals and two assists in his first 28 appearances for the Italian giants.

Antonio Conte’s side currently sit in second place, just three points off leaders Inter Milan, with McTominay playing a key role in their chances of claiming the Scudetto at the end of the season.

Given his goalscoring run in Serie A, Ruben Amorim must wish the previous management team had kept hold of the Scottish international, but he could unleash his own version of the star in the near future.

The player who could be Amorim’s own McTominay

Ayden Heaven and Chido Obi have been just two of the United youngsters who have been the beneficiaries of the ongoing injury issues at Old Trafford, making the jump into the first-team.

Their positive performances have certainly opened the doors for other youngsters to follow suit in the near future, looking to cement their place in Amorim’s squad.

One player who’s more than deserving of the opportunity is midfielder Zach Baumann, who could follow in the footsteps of McTominay with the 18-year-old possessing a very similar skillset to the Scottish international.

The Ukrainian youngster has developed rapidly over the last couple of years, earning himself a professional contract at Old Trafford, highlighting his impressive displays at various youth levels.

This season alone, the “superb” Baumann, as dubbed by one analyst, the teenager has registered 11 appearances in all competitions, including one in the UEFA Youth League.

He’s capable of operating in either an attacking or defensive midfield role, similar to that of McTominay, but he’s also showcased his ability to be in key positions in the final third, allowing him to find the back of the net.

Baumann has been a regular in the U18 side, notching two goal contributions in his seven appearances, helping the Red Devils youngsters sit second, just a couple of points off rivals Manchester City.

Given the sale of McTominay in the summer, the first team have been desperate for a player of a similar profile to replace him, offering that added threat in the final third despite mainly being a box-to-box option.

Baumann may only be 18, but should he continue on his current trajectory, he could easily force himself into Amorim’s plans, potentially saving the club millions in the years ahead.

Man Utd gem was ahead of Amad, then Ten Hag sold him for just £5m
