كشفت تقارير صحفية، عن موقف البرازيلي نيمار من العودة للمشاركة مع الهلال في مباراته المقبلة أمام العين والتي تجمع بينهما ضمن منافسات دوري أبطال آسيا.

ويغيب نيمار عن الملاعب منذ عام تقريباً بعد تعرضه للإصابة بقطع في الرباط الصليبي للركبة مع منتخب البرازيل خلال مواجهة الأوروجواي ضمن تصفيات كأس العالم 2026.

وأفادت صحيفة الرياضية السعودية، أن نيمار سيخضع إلى اختبارات بدنية ولياقية يحدد على إثرها إمكانية مشاركته من عدمها أمام العين الإماراتي.

وحال غياب نيمار عن المشاركة في مباراة العين المقبلة، فسيتأجل ظهوره إلى مباراة الاستقلال الإيراني والمقررة يوم 4 نوفمبر المقبل على ملعب المملكة أرينا ضمن منافسات الجولة الرابعة من دوري أبطال آسيا.

ويتواجد نيمار ضمن قائمة الهلال في دوري أبطال آسيا، بسبب السماح بمشاركة اللاعبين الأجانب بشكل كامل وطبيعي، بينما تم استبعاده عن القائمة المحلية في بطولتي الدوري السعودي وكأس خادم الحرمين.

That said, midfield remains an area in which United are reportedly looking to improve, with or without De Jong this summer, with Ratcliffe and co turning their attention towards a long-term target as an alternative option.

According to TuttoSport (via Sport Witness), Manchester United are ready to make a concrete offer to sign Adrien Rabiot, who is set to become a free agent upon the expiry of his current Juventus deal at the end of the season. The Frenchman was of course the subject of interest from United last summer, before a deal failed to come to fruition and he remained a Juventus player.

This time around, however, the Premier League giants are seemingly not wasting any time as they look to finally land Rabiot, adding a hefty reported £148,000-a-week salary to their wage bill in the process. After such a wait, if the deal reaches completion, United fans will be desperately hoping to see Rabiot help transform Ten Hag's side.

The Scotsman's job has been nothing short of incredible, having steered West Ham away from relegation in 2019/2020 to then massively overachieve. Indeed, the Irons qualified for Europe in each of Moyes' full campaigns thereafter till now, sealing record-high league finishes, which was something nobody could've predicted.

The highlight of his tenure was West Ham winning the Conference League in Prague last year, their first major piece of silverware since the 1980s. When Moyes departs, he will go down as a club legend in his own right, but there have also been some bumps along the way.

Domestically, the east Londoners flirted with relegation last campaign and supporters have grown disenchanted with the former Everton boss' style of play. Many now believe change is needed, with West Ham looking set to oblige, according to reliable media sources like Jacob Steinberg.

A few candidates to succeed Moyes have been interviewed already, as per whispers in the press, and one of them is Sporting Lisbon boss Ruben Amorim. The 39-year-old, who is widely regarded as one of Europe's most exciting young managers, was pictured boarding a jet for talks with West Ham on Monday.

The plane has since returned to Portugal after this first round of negotiations, but reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano has since claimed Amorim discussions with West Ham are unlikely to advance any further.

Alternative options are now being assessed, and it is believed former Wolves, Sevilla, Spain and Real Madrid manager Julen Lopetegui is a sure-fire candidate.

Lopetegui's experience both in England and at the very top level is an enticing draw for Sullivan, with Man City manager Pep Guardiola also calling him an "exceptional" person.

A devastating late spell from Tim Murtagh fired Middlesex back into contention in their Bob Willis Trophy clash against Sussex at Radlett.Murtagh, the 39-year-old seamer, grabbed three wickets, including two in two balls – with Miguel Cummins claiming the other – as Sussex crumbled to 4 for 4 in their second innings, eventually reaching 33 for 4 at stumps.That left the visitors holding an overall advantage of 123 after bowling their hosts out for 203 earlier in the day, with teenage offspinner Jack Carson returning career-best figures of 4-46.Middlesex had slumped to 80 for 6 before John Simpson, debutant Blake Cullen and Cummins all rallied with the bat to keep their side within striking distance.Ollie Robinson and Mitch Claydon soon had Middlesex on the back foot when the home side began their first innings, taking advantage of morning cloud cover to keep the scoring rate to a minimum.
